This study investigates the diagnostic and practical significance of salivary glucose measurement in children with type 1 diabetes mellitus. The research was conducted at Tashkent State Dental University and the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Endocrinology among children aged 6–16 years. Participants were divided into three groups according to their glycemic status and periodontal condition. Glucose concentrations in blood and saliva were measured, and correlation analysis was performed. A strong positive correlation (r = 0.81; p < 0.05) was found between salivary and blood glucose levels. The results demonstrate that salivary glucose assessment can serve as a reliable, non-invasive, and cost-effective diagnostic tool for monitoring glycemic control in children with type 1 diabetes.References
